Money saving tips for jugglers

We know money is always tight so here are a few ways to save.

Please remember though that the BJC is extraordinarily good value for money. It provides juggling space, shows, entertainment, camping and shower facilities for less than the cost of a commercial campsite alone. It's usually half the price of Glastonbury or Reading festivals.

Ticket price

Preregister!

Buying your ticket in advance is the only way to save you money. There will be at least one if not two stages of preregistration. The earlier you buy the more you will save.

Preregistering also helps the organisers put on a better festival in many ways such as giving an indication of how many people to plan for and providing funds for deposits.

Travel

Moneysavingexpert.com provide a useful guide to cheap train tickets. Keep an eye on their list of train and coach ticket special offers too.

Don't forget travel by coach as an option. Try National Express, Megabus UK or Check my bus.

To save on petrol costs you could try asking for, or offering a lift share on our social media groups.

Accomodation

Camping is by far the cheapest option in that it is usually included in the ticket price. If you are worried about the cold take a look at how to keep warm at a juggling festival.

Food

For convenience there will be caterers on site, but you can save a lot of money by cooking for yourself. Don't be put off by the thought of cooking in a field away from your beloved kitchen with all your mod cons. There are plenty of easy ways to cook up a tasty meal quickly and with a minimum of equipment.

Take a look at our guide to cooking while camping.
